Road accidents are not only traumatic for victims and their families but also take a huge economic toll on the country. They cost an estimated 3% of GDP each year. This, in financial terms, involves a loss of Rs 380,000 crore annually. Of the total number of road accidents, about 37 percent are caused by commercial vehicles. Ensuring road safety for motorists and pedestrians alike has become a nightmare for governmental authorities.

In our country about 377 people never return home on a daily basis while 1,287 return injured.

The number of deaths from road accidents has risen sharply over the past decade. More than one million people have lost their lives in the past 10 years alone and another 5.3 million have been disabled or disfigured for life.
 

While India has less than 3% of the world’s vehicles, it accounts for some 11% of the world’s road deaths. That too, when many such incidents are not documented at all.

Under  Humrahi program we provide Road Safety training to:

1. School and College going students

2. Exisitng LMV/HMV Drivers (Corporates, State/private run transport, School Bus Drivers etc.)

3. General Public (other Road Users)

4. Professional Driving Training to Women and Youth for Livelihood

We also conduct Defensive Driving Training:

• We provide Defensive Driving Training to the Transporter providing services to schools and corporates
• The objective of conducting this workshop is to inculcate and imbibe the culture of safe driving amongst vehicle drivers including anticipation of road conditions, applying fuel-efficient driving techniques, avoiding over-speeding and vehicle maintenance
• This program includes all concerned stakeholders in the process, therefore contributing to the national agenda of promoting road safety awareness in India.
